The author has divided his findings of the Kingodm of Kotte into two parts. The first part highlights the past Sitawaka and deals with the exploits of Mayadunne and his son Rajasinghe to rid the country of foreign invaders. The second part gives a description of the folk lore connected with Sitawaka and its environs.
